Buckhead C Station – Atlanta

The Shoppe @ Buckhead’s sustainability initiatives include installing solar panels, LED fixtures, energy efficient appliances, and a rainwater harvesting system.

The entire building is clad with solar panels, including the canopy and roof. To capture maximum solar energy, they installed solar panels on the south-facing windows with multi-level awnings. This property produces at least 45% of its own energy.

With its larger roof, rainwater is captured and it is used for irrigation and cleaning the parking lot. There are also storm traps that allow for little to none of that water to go into the Atlanta’s storm water system.

The Buckhead C Store received the Livable Buckhead Triple Bottom Line Award due to its focus and implementation on sustainability.
