Dad’s Garage Has A New Home!

Dogwood Forest Construction Complete!

Dogwood Forest,  a new assisted living community in Acworth, GA, has completed construction, and move-ins have already begun! The community is a Trinity Lifestyles development, providing 96 units of senior residential care housing (including 24 units dedicated to memory-impaired individuals) as well as several large amenity areas (which will include a library, salons, bistros, a cardio therapy center and a theater). The building is organized around a large outdoor, south-facing, courtyard that incorporates a garden with a fountain,  and various seating areas. Dogwood Forest is one of the first facilities built to adhere to the new NFPA regulations for Assisted Living Facilities.

PHA Project Named 2013 EarthCraft Communities Project of the Year

Harmony Greene Townhomes, designed by Pimsler Hoss Architects of Atlanta in conjunction with the Woda Group Inc. & Parallel Housing, was named the 2013 EarthCraft Communities Project of the Year.  The project, a LEED Gold, 70,000 sq ft, 50 unit residential community was intended to meet the requirements of EarthCraft Coastal Communities and will also pursue LEED for Homes certification. The townhomes consist of ten 2-bedroom units, thirty 3-bedroom, and ten 4-bedroom units with Clubhouse, community garden and walking trial amenities. Based on the configuration of the wetlands and associated buffers, the site design consists of an “urban” area that address the frontage at Harmony Boulevard and a “rural” area that is inland of the site and oriented around a green commons.
